 ROUTE 28 EAST OHIO STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

CDR Maguire provided award-winning construction inspection and management services for PennDOT District 11-0 for the 31st Street Bridge and SR 28 from Troy Hill Road to the city limits in City of Pittsburgh project (SR 0028, SECTION A09). The project received the following awards:

  • 2014 Transportation Project of the Year Award from the Engineering Society of Western Pennsylvania
  • 2014 Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award from the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers, Pittsburgh Chapter
  • 2014 Civil Engineering Achievement Award from the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers

CDR BRIDGE SYSTEMS TO PROVIDE NEW BRIDGE TECHNOLOGY AS A CLINTON GLOBAL INITIATIVE ‘COMMITMENT TO ACTION’ FOR FLOOD-STRICKEN REGIONS OF COLORADO

 

Denver, Colorado – June 24, 2014 – Nearly 25% of the 607,380 bridges in the U.S. are rated as structurally deficient or functionally obsolete, and the average age of those bridges is 42 years. Even worse, in the wake of a natural disaster when communities face unprecedented and urgent infrastructure needs, these challenges are amplified.

FIRST FSPGS BRIDGE IN NEBRASKA SCHEDULED FOR SUMMER 2014

In the coming months, four 57-foot long folded steel plate girders will be used by the State of Nebraska Department of Roads in the replacement of a two-lane bridge in Boone County. CDR Bridge Systems, LLC is contracted with the delivery of the girders for use on the federal-aid local project known as Primrose East. The state’s contractor will precast concrete deck panels on the girders, and the composite folded steel plate girder units will be erected onto geosynthetic reinforced soil abutments.
