Position: Contract Support Specialist

Salary: Commensurate with Experience

CDR Maguire is seeking a Contract Support Specialist which can be located in Milton, MA (preferably) or Providence, RI.

CONTRACT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

CDR Maguire was founded in 1938 and has been responsible for the transformation of the city of Providence.  Winner of two (2) Presidential Design Awards, CDR is the Prime Consultant for the I-I95 reconstruction, the I-Way Bridge, the Indian Town Pedestrian Bridge, and The City Center as well as numerous other projects in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.  We are a leading transportation engineering and emergency management firm with over 150 professionals in MA, RI, CT, PA, FL, CO and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Summary of Position:

The Contract Support Specialist (CSS) is responsible for all contracts and credentialing of contracted businesses including reviewing contract terms and conditions and making sure the company is complying with contractual requirements and contracts fall within company policies.  Assist the CEO and Project Managers with:

  • Preparing invoices to be submitted to client.
  • Auditing invoices to ensure contracts are within budget, correct hours and rates are being billed, sub-consultants invoices are correct and in compliance with company required invoicing procedures and consultants are within contracted budget amounts.
  • Coordinate the activities of Project Managers in formulating bid proposals and preparation of Project Initiation Sheets (PIS).  Auditing PIS’ to ensure the balances and rates entered are correct and tie with contracted amounts.
  • Prepare contracts for sub-consultants at start of contract and monitor performance determining the necessity for amendment or extensions as needed.
  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance for each client to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts and compliance to contractual obligations.
  • Approves or rejects request for deviations from contract specifications within company guidelines.
  • Monitor and track each contract’s budget and those of the sub-consultants working on those contracts.
  • Coordinate with client regarding outstanding accounts receivable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (preferred) or Associate’s Degree in Accounting (preferred) or Business Administration
  • 2-3 years’ experience
  • Prior Invoicing Experience a plus

Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Must be proficient and have experience with Microsoft Office
  • Deltek experience a plus

Position: IT Specialist

Position: Roadway Engineer

Senior Scheduler:

Salary: Commensurate with Experience

Department: Mid Atlantic Construction Management Services

Reports to: Division Manager

Summary Objective: CDR Maguire has an immediate opening for an experienced senior scheduler for planning, reviewing, and controlling of CPM schedules for multiple, heavy highway construction projects in western Pennsylvania.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will require a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field with a minimum of 10 years of progressive design management or construction planning related experience. Oracle Primavera 6 proficiency is required for this position. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to generate design and construction schedules and provide a portfolio of examples for review. Specific experience related to the scheduling requirements and procedures used by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation are preferred. Training and/or Experience with Primavera 3, Microsoft Project, Deltek Open Plan or Asta Powerproject is a plus.

Job Duties / Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include reviewing, updating, and generating CPM schedules using Oracle Primavera 6. Scheduler will actively update and maintain an archive of production yields related to construction of transportation related projects. Position may require budget and resource forecasting. Scheduler will oversee the progress of significant regional transportation projects by performing monthly contractor schedule update reviews. Position may require field validation of contractor progress updates and coordination with field staff.

Principal Structural Engineer:

Seeking structural engineer to manage bridge project design, scheduling and budget control; develop bridge plans, specifications and construction cost estimates; prepare contract documents for submission; and coordinate with DOT for project design and construction engineering service.  Position requires a working knowledge of current structural bridge design codes and standards, and experience on MassDOT/CTDOT projects preferred.  Familiarity with structural bridge design analysis and design software, including SAP, VIRTIS, BRASS, STRUDL.  Proficiency with MathCAD and AutoCAD or Microstation.  Requires excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.  Ability to work in a team environment, with attention to detail and the ability to take on responsibility is a must.  Requires BSCE with structural emphasis, P.E. and 8-10 years of bridge design experience including 3 years of project management.

CDR Maguire is currently recruiting for on-call FEMA Public Assistance (PA) staff.  Our team of experienced professionals is looking to add multiple individuals in the project specialist and public assistance coordinator (PAC) roles throughout the U.S.  The successful candidate must possess:

  • Experience working with the FEMA Public Assistance Process
  • Robust knowledge of FEMA 321, 322, 323, and the 9500 Policy Series
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent customer service

Applicants interested in the PAC role must also possess:
