CDR Maguire is proud to note that we have twice received the Presidential Award for Design Excellence.  The Presidential Design Awards, established in 1983, were initially administered by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and later the General Services Administration (GSA).  The awards encourage and recognize the design successes of federal agencies and cities and honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to federal design.

This long-term project, completed in spring 2010, was undertaken by The Streamship Authority in phases over three off-seasons to minimize service disruptions. The new facility includes a reoriented ferry berth, a longer transfer bridge, new berthing dolphins/fenders, new vehicle-staging area, handicapped-accessible pedestrian walkway, and Terminal Building improvements.
